TruthSeeker,

Can you please tell us a little more about yourself?
Our Dutch speaking members have the chance to do that in the Café field but as this is the English section... 8-)

Michiel,

From a previous posting here I understand TruthSeeker is a she...I was wondering why she just became a member here i.e. maybe a familymember KIA/MIA?

Hello Paul:

I became a member at the invitation of your administrator, Sebastiaan. I am a moderator on another forum; A WWII research forum. I have been quite active on that forum and have posted many resources for researchers.

My father was career Army M/Sgt. for 22 years. He saw combat in WWII with the 103rd. Cactus Div., and also in Korea with the 2nd. Div. I have reconstructed my father's military history to write his biography.

I am a retired Registered Nurse, after 23+ years in the cardiac ICU, as well as a now retired High School Teacher. I have always been interested in research and have found my niche in that endeavor. I very much enjoy researching and find it gratifying to assist others in getting started with their research projects. WWII research is a very difficult and frustrating area to work in, as many doors are slammed in your face. However, the rewards are worth it! I have been able to obtain "declassified" secret documents pertaining to the movements and activities of my father's Unit in the ETO.

Over the past 3 years, of researching my father's military career, I have gained a great insight into the resources available for information pertaining to WWII events and individual Vets. I am also writing the history of the 103rd. Inf. Div. during WWII, with the assistance of that Unit's Historian.

Groetjes,
TruthSeeker (A "she" :) )
